The Glenfinnan Viaduct is a railway viaduct on the West Highland Line in Glenfinnan, Inverness-shire, Scotland. Located at the top of Loch Shiel in the West Highlands of Scotland, the viaduct overlooks the Glenfinnan Monument and the waters of Loch Shiel.
We captured some drone footage at this legendary location in October 2020 and made it available on Pond5 shortly after. Pond5 is an incredible resource as a content creator, but the only downside is you usually have no idea where your purchased footage will be used. So we were surprised and excited to spot our epic shot in Episode 2 of the latest series of Jack Whitehall, Travels With My Father: The Final Journey, now on Netflix. If you don’t want to watch the full episode, you can skip to 43:50. Alternatively, you can see the full length shot below, as well as some footage that we captured a day previously in less favourable flying conditions – available on Pond5.
Special thanks to Glenfinnan Estate Manager, Alistair Gibson.
Jack and Michael herd sheep in Wales, hike the Lake District with llamas, search for “Nessie” in the Scottish Highlands and ride a “Harry Potter” train.
